FUTURE CLASSIC PARTY

ISOLÉE, JACQUES RENAULT, FLUME, FUTURE CLASSIC DJS, ANDY WEBB, SHUNJI & STEELE BONUS, PELVIS (GERMANY, USA, AUS)

Garnering a reputation for their summer-celebrating ambiance as both record label and curator, Sydney collective Future Classic will transform the Studio into a euphoric club that traverses dance music’s past, present and future with Isolée, Jacques Renault and Flume.

Originating from Frankfurt, Germany, Isolée’s adopted moniker as the originator of microhouse has turned him into a cult favorite, eschewing genre trademarks for a deeply expansive sound. Renowned as a ‘one-man live house band’, Isolée is a surprisingly rare performer, spending six years between albums to ‘develop a vision’. Revered amongst house aficionados and club-goers alike, Isolée’s seamless cuts promise to reach exhilarating heights.

Considered one of New York City’s best DJs, Jacques Renault’s prolific run of mixes, re-edits and underground parties has seen him work with Radiohead, Moby and LCD Soundsystem – a quick succession of releases compared to Isolée’s scarce output. A feverish enthusiast since his initial forays in violin, trumpet and drums, Renault’’s love for vinyl and NYC disco has developed into a signature voice, re-appropriating past hits and genres into an effortless whole.

Future Classic’s takeover of the Studio reflects Isolée’s core love for electronic music, the presence of ‘a rhythm and a community’. Joined by Future Classic’s own 19 year old beat maker Flume, Andy Webb, Shunji & Steele Bonus and Pelvis, the Studio will reach ecstatic heights in an evening that celebrates both scene-defining icons and the thriving pockets of Sydney’s dance set.
